. <br /> ,.. <br /> . <br /> City will not reschedule off-duty days so that such out-of-county <br /> court appearances fall on regularly scheduled duty days . <br /> 8-1( d) For all full-time other than regular shift <br /> employees of the fire service: <br /> New Year's Day Veterans Day <br /> Lincoln' s Birthday Thanksgiving Day <br /> Good Friday Friday after Thanksgiving <br /> Memorial Day Christmas Day <br /> Independence Day One Unscheduled Day <br /> Labor Day <br /> 9-2 . 2. No sick leave credit .may be used by an employee I <br /> in the police service or the general . service for the first four I <br /> hours of the fourth or any succeeding sickness occurrence during <br /> any fiscal year. A sickness occur�ence is hereby def ined as any ' <br /> continuous absence by an employee from scheduled work periods , <br /> whether for one or more schedulad shifts , for stated reasons of I <br /> illness , injury or off-the-job incurred disability for which no �I <br /> physician ' s verifying statement is provided by said employee to <br /> the City. An employee in the police service who becomes ills on I, <br /> the job shall not be charged with a sickness occurrence if said <br /> employee works a minimum of two hours on the day of illness , or <br /> if said employee ' s immediate supervisor verifies to the City that <br /> said employee was ill. An employee in the general service who <br /> becomes ill on the job shall not be charged with a sickness <br /> occurrence if said employee works a minimum of four hours on the <br /> day of illness or if said employee ' s immediate supervisor <br /> verifies to the City that said employee was ill. <br /> 10-9 . Employees required by the City to attend schools <br /> or training sessions that are work related shall be paid at their <br /> regular rate of pay for all hours actually spent in class or in <br /> instruction. <br /> 14-1-4 . IVo classified service employee will be <br /> furloughed until all probationary and temporary employees within <br /> the samP �osition classification are first furloughed. <br /> Section 3 .
