:�. . � <br /> , � <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the Village of Harristown owns and operates a <br /> water supply, storage and distribution system; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur, Illinois , owns and operates a <br /> water works system. <br /> For and in consideration of the promises and covenants <br /> respectively to be performed by the parties hereto, it is agreed <br /> by and between the Village of Harristown, Illinois , and the City <br /> of Decatur, as follows : <br /> l. That the term of this agreement will be for a period of <br /> five ( 5 ) years commencing August 15 , 1985 . I <br /> 2 . That during the term of this agreement the Village may � <br /> offer and maintain water service only within the corporate limits <br /> of the Village and only through water services not to exceed two <br /> inches in size, except where a larger service is required solely <br /> to service a building fire protection sprinkler system within the <br /> Village and the water supplied thereby is used solely for such <br /> sprinkler system. The Village may furnish water through larger <br /> or multiple services to any one parcel of real estate , or to uses <br /> outside the corporate limits of the Village, or permit water <br /> supplied through a service larger than two inches in size of <br /> which is required by reason of a sprinkler system to be used <br /> other than for such system only upon consent of the City Council <br /> expressed by ordinance or resolution. <br /> 3 . That any extension or modification of the Village water <br /> system sha1Z be constructed in compliance with the then current <br />
