Chapter 59 . 1 <br /> SECONDHAND STORES AND AUCTION HOUSFS <br /> 1 . Auction house, as used herein, shall mean any building, <br /> place or premises used for the purpose of conducting a public <br /> sale at which goods , co�nodities or appliances , except motor <br /> vehicles or parts thereof, mobile homes , boats , books , clothes <br /> and coins, are sold to the highest bidder, excluding such sales <br /> where the goods , commodities and appliances offered for sale <br /> are the property of and were originally acquired for the use <br /> thereof by the owner of s�ch building, place or premises and <br /> such sales conducted by said owner ' s estate or other legal <br /> representative . <br /> Secondhand store, as used herein, shall mean any building, <br /> place or pre�ises used for the purpose of selling, bartering or <br /> exchanging any goods , commodities or appliances , except motor <br /> vehicles or parts thereof, mobile homes , boats , books , clothes <br /> and coins, which have previously been sold, exchanged, given away <br /> or had title transferred from the person, firm or corporation <br /> which first acquired the same for the use thereof, <br /> 2. No person, firm or corporation shall operate an auction <br /> house or secondhand store in the City of Decatur without first <br /> having obtained a license for each such auction house or second- <br /> hand store issued by the City Manager. <br /> 3 . Application for a license to operate an auction house <br /> or a secondhand store shall be made to the City Clerk and shall <br /> include such information as may be required to effect the pro- <br /> visions hereof. Such anplication shall be accompanied by the <br /> EXHIBIT C <br />
