SECTION 5 : That the said sanitary sewer improvement consists of <br /> sewer pipe with tee branches laid with water tight joints, city standard <br /> manholes, drop connections at drop manholes, improved street surface <br /> restorations to the specifications included, protection, care and replace- <br /> ment of all existing underground and aboveground utilities in the lineup, <br /> or near, said improvements; and all necessary appurtenances thereto required <br /> to complete the sanitary sewer system. <br /> The slopes of all gravity sanitary sewers are given in percentage <br /> and all sections have a uniform grade. Minimum and maximum grades are <br /> shown on the d�tailed plans. <br /> The pipes and fittings for the sanitary sewer system are to be first <br /> quality materials, complying with the latest standards. <br /> All sewer pipe shall be laid on an even, firm bed throughout the <br /> full length of the ba.rrel so that no uneven strain will come on any pipe, <br /> and particular care will be exercised to prevent the pipes bearing on the <br /> sockets. Each pipe is to be laid in conformity with the line and levels <br /> therefore, and in the presence of an inspector from the engineers. The sock� <br /> end of all pipe is to be laid upgrade. <br /> Tee-branches or wye-branches for houseconnections are to be four <br /> Inches in diameter, equal in quality and dimensions to that heretofore <br /> described , and as shown on "Exhibit 2" and as described in "Exhibit 3" . <br /> Tee-branches or wye-branches shall b e closed by means of a disc <br /> or stopper cemented in place, and shall be provided and set along the <br /> sewers, being located in front of abutting properties so as to serve such <br /> properties with sewage facilities. <br /> City standard manholes are to be provided at the location and '� <br /> depth as shown in "Exhibit 2" and as specified in "Exhibit 3" . , <br /> All roadways shall be restored by thorough compaction of all trench II <br />
