That no person,� firm or corporation shall erect, <br /> construct, alter, extend, repair, remove, demolish, maintain, <br /> operate, use or occupy any structure or equipment regulated by <br /> the provisions of this ordinance or of the Code adopted hereby <br /> or of the rules or directives promulgated thereunder or cause <br /> the same to be done contrary to or in conflict with or in <br /> violation of any of said provisions, and any person, firm or <br /> corporation violating or found to be in violation of any of said <br /> provisions shall upon conviction thereof be fined not to exceed <br /> Five Hundred Dollars, ($500 .00) . <br /> Section 9 . The imposition of the penalties herein pre- <br /> scribed shall not preclude the institution of appropriate action <br /> to prevent unlawful construction or to restrain, correct or abate <br /> a violation, or to stop an illegal act, conduct, business or <br /> operation of inechanical equipment or systems in or about any <br /> premises. <br /> Section 10 . The provisions hereof are, and shall be <br /> construed to be severable and invalidity of any section or <br /> provision of this ordinance or of the codes and standards hereby <br /> adopted, shall not invalidate other sections or provisions hereof. <br />
