• � Ma�con County � Certify ' � ��Qh2o� !'f3uE 7� ��-��-� �� That This 1nOstrument Wes Filed For� Record At '15 A1K '' � •" On And ORDINANCE NO. ��— g � �uG 161982 ) Recaded in Boo 099 age95 � � ORDINANCE VACATING ALLEY (""� ' �!J — FORESIGHT, INC . — ��,V "` �v. �� F�e Q,,,�LL�'h Recorderol Deeds WHEREAS, the alley in Block 15 of the Extension of Allen, McReynolds and Co ' s Addition and extending from former Jackson ' Street to North Broadway Street between East Prairie and East ' Main Streets, was by the Council in February, 1967 vacated , except for the East 127 feet thereof, all at the request in petition of Foresight, Inc. , the owner of all premises abutting each side of the vacated portion of said alley; and, WHEREAS, although it was apparently intended that all the portion of said alley upon which the premises of said company abutted be vacated, in fact such vacation failed twenty (20) feet short of encompassing all the portion of said alley so situated; and, WHEREAS, Foresight, Inc. now intends to improve the westerly portion of Lot 12 in said B1ock 15 with a hard surface motor vehicle parking lot for the customers of its tenant, Sears, Roebuck & Co. and in connection therewith has petitioned that an additional twenty (20) feet of said alley be vacated so that the newly improved parking area may be uniformly tied into the existing improved parking area to the north thereof; and, WHEREAS, the public interest wi11 be subserved by vacating said portion of said alley and the public w�ll be relieved from the further burden and responsibility of maintaining the same and no property will be daTnaged by the vacation or closing thereof; , and, ' WHEREAS, the Council finds that the benefit accruing to the I abutting property owner by reason of said vacation will be equal I� in amount to the benefit accruing to the public by reason of said � proposed improvement; and, WHEREAS, said portion of said alley is no longer useful to the public or to the City or to the owners of property abutting thereon as an alley, said portion being described as: Commencing on the North line of Lot 12 in Block 15 of the Extension of Allen, McReynolds and Co' s Addition to Decatur, as per Plat recorded in Book G page 365 of the records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois, at a point 107 feet West of the Northeast corner of said Lot, thence North 16 feet to the Svuth line of Lot 13 in said Block 15 , thence West along said South line twenty (20) feet, thence South 16 feet to the North line of said Lot 12 , thence East twenty (20) feet to the place of beginning.
