82-27 AUTHORIZING INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH SANITARY DISTRICT FOR COMBINED WATER AND SEWER SERVICE USER CHARGES ACCOUNTS

� � • '� NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section I. That the agreement presented to the Council herewith between the City and the Sanitary District of Decatur to establish procedures for and to process combined accounts for the water user charges of the City and sewer user charges of the District for users of the water and sewer system within the City as therein set out be, and the same is hereby, received, placed on file and approved. Section 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to sign, seal and attest said agreement on behalf of the City. Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby , authorized to cause the provisions thereof to be implemented ', and administered and, in order so to do, to cause rules and �I� regulations not i.n conflict therewith to be promulgated and , clarifications, modifications and refinements thereof not in II conflict therewith to be worked out between the City and the District from time to time. Section 4. That the City Code be, and the same is hereby, amended at Chapter 64 thereof by adding Section 24 thereto said section to provide as follows : 24. That sewer user charges of the Sanitary District of Decatur, or of the City, and sanitary sewer connection charges of the City are and shall be recognized and treated as other charges relating to water service along with all other such charges as provided for in this Code.
