82-25 AUTHORIZING, APPROVING, RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING CERTAIN ADDITIONS AND CHANGES TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS (BRETTWOOD VILLAGE ASSOCIATES PROJECT)

S . 1 _' WHEREAS, pursuant to the Enabling Ordinance, the City adopted Ordinance No. 82-12 providing for the issuance of its "Economic Development Revenue Bonds (Brettwood Village Associates Pro�ect) ", to be dated February 1, 1982 in the aggregate principal amount of $3,300,000 (the "Bonds" ) , and the execution and delivery by the Mayor and City Clerk for and on behalf of the City of the Indenture, the Loan Agreement, the Official Statement and the Bond Purchase Agreement referred to therein; and WHEREAS, the parties have prepared and submitted to this meeting final forms of such documents for execution which incorporate certain additions and changes from the forms of such documents heretofore authorized and approved. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, MACON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 . That the City is a home rule unit under the provisions of the 1970 Constitution of Illinois, and as a home rule unit may, under the powers granted by Section 6(a) of Article VII thereof, "exercise any power and perform . � any function pertaining to its government and affairs" and that this Ord�inance is adopted pursuant to the Issuer's home rule powers and in accord with the Enabling Ordinace, any provisions contained in the Illinois Municipal Code to the contrary notwith- standing. -2-
