fi • . � 2 . 2 Any alarm system so installed or operated as to communicate an alarm to the central communications facility shall be maintained in good working order and so as not to generate false alarms due to system defect or malfunctions . 2 . 3 Every alarm user of an alarm system so in- ; stalled and operated shall provide the Police Department � and keep currently up to date names and telephone numbers of persons who are authorized and readily availabl� to assist -at the premises or facility at any time an alarm is transmitted therefrom. 2 .4 Every alarm system so installed or maintained shall be so operated as not to transmit false alarms . 2. 5 Any alarm system not installed, maintained or operated as provided herein may be disconnected from said panel and be prohibited from transmitting alarms ! to said central communications facility upon order of the Police Chief, or, after reasonable notice , fire . or police response to the premises of alarm origination may be terminated. 2 . 6 Relay to the Police Department of alarms re- ceived by an alarm answering point shall only be by private direct line service from such point terminating at a private telephone installed and maintained at the central communications facility at the expense of the alarm service, permission for the installation and main- tenance of which line and telephone has been and con- tinues to be authorized by the Police Chief. Response Charge 3 . 1 A response charge in the amount of $30 . 00 is hereby authorized and levied for each response to a false alarm transmitted to the Police Department. 3 . 2 Said response charge may be waived by the Police Chief if upon due investigation taking into account the cause and circumstances of such false alarm and the lack of frequency of other such false alarms by such alarm user the same did not cause rea- sonably expectable levels of public safety service to be exceeded.
