, ' � �r��'�il�� ' , <br /> �1.�1�, ' <br /> ORD INANCE NO.�--�� I, <br /> AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS <br /> WHEREAS , there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by <br /> said Clerk presented to the Council here��►ith, the petition under <br /> oath of the Decatur Park District, a municipal corporation, <br /> requesting that there be annexed to the City territory described as : <br /> The West Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 21, <br /> Township 16 North, Range 3 East of the 3rd P.M. and <br /> the East Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 21 , <br /> Township 16 North, Range 3 East of the 3rd P.M. , except <br /> commencing at the Northwest corner of said East Quarter <br />' of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 21 thence East <br /> alon the North line of said SouthwE�sct <br /> 9 Quarter 600 feet, <br /> thence Southwesterly at an acute angle of 28°51 ' 684 <br /> feet, thence North 300 feet to the point of beginning, <br /> all in Macon County, Illinois ; and, <br />' WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of <br /> record of all land within such territory and by at least 51� of <br /> the electors residing there:in, and that said territory is contiguous <br /> to the City and not within the corporate limits of any City, Village <br /> or Incorporated Town or other municipality; and, <br /> WHEREAS , notice of intention to take action for annexation has � <br /> been given as required. ' <br /> NOW, TIiEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF I <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS : I <br /> Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, I <br /> and the same are hereby approved. <br /> Section 2. That said territory hereinabove described, alonc; <br /> �:ith all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent <br /> thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are here�y� ; <br /> a.nnexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of <br /> Decatur, Il�.i.nois , a municipal corporation. <br /> Section 3 .
