The length of annual vacations for <br /> regular shift employees of the fire service shall be <br /> as follows : <br /> (a) after completion of one year continuous <br /> service uninterrupted by resignation or discharge, <br /> 5 duty days; <br /> (b) after completion of eight years continuous <br /> service uninterrupted by resignation or discharge, <br /> 7 duty days; <br /> (c) after completion of fifteen years continuous <br /> service uninterrupted by resignation or discharge, <br /> 10 duty days . <br /> 7-2•1. The length of annual vacations for employees <br /> in the fire service except for regular shift employees <br /> shall be as follows : <br /> (a) after completion of one year continuous <br /> service utv.nt�ted by resignation or discharge, <br /> 10 duty days; <br />, (b) after completion of eight years continuous <br />' service uninterrupted by resignation or discharge, <br /> 15 duty days ; <br /> (c) after completion of fifteen years continuous <br /> service uninterrupted by resignation or discharge, <br /> 20 duty days . <br /> S-5. To be eligible for holiday pay, the employee <br /> shall be in pay status and entitled to payment for the <br /> entirety of both his last scheduled work shift before the <br /> holiday and his first scheduled work shift after the holiday <br /> unless an unpaid absence on the whole or any part of either or <br /> both is approved by the City Manager. <br /> 9-5 . Upon retirement, the City will pay the retiring <br /> employee $5 .00 for each day of unused accumulated sick leave. <br /> 9-6 . An employee in the police service who has <br /> accumulated lOQ sick leave days as of May lst shall be <br /> granted one day' s leave with pay to be used at any time <br />
