KenneGy and ,,kil others who are owners of property abutting thereo^, requesting � vacation by the Council of a portion of certain streets �n the City of Decatur, Illinois, commor.ly knowr. as Hill Park Ai�:�ue and Hill Park Drive , said portion of said streets being c?escri�ed as follo�as : Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 12 of hill Park, Decatur, Illinois, zs per plat recorded in Book 300 page 287 of the records in the Recorder ' s Of�ice of Macon County, Illinois ; thence South 418 . 01 feet along the West line of Lots 12 and 11 of said Hill Park and said line extended Soutn to the South line of Hil1 Park Drive ; thence West aZong Hill Park Drive to the Northeast Rignt-of-Way line of the Illinois Cen}ral Gulf Railroad; thence North�rest 123 . 17 f�et along sa�d Right-of-Way line to the Southwest c�rner of Lot 14 of said Hill Park; th.ence East 56 . 75 feet to the Southeast corner of said Lot 14 ; thence North 316 . 78 feet to tne Northeast corner of Lot 13 o� � said Hill Park; tnence East 50 .00 feet to the place of beginning, and, WHEREAS, The Decatur City Plan Commission after public hearing, has recommended �hat the pr.ayer of said petition be grante� and said portion of said streets be vacated as requested; and, WHEREAS , said portion of said street although plat�ted as streets, have not been improved or used as a street; and, WFiEREAS, said portion of said street is no longer useful to the public or to the City or to the owners of property anutting tnereon as streets ; and, WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said portion of said streets and the public will be relieved from any future burden or responsibility for opening, improving, or maintair.ing the sar,�e as a street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECAiUR, ILLINOIS. Sect_en ? .
