� - MiCRO� � ORDINANCE NO.� - 73 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION EASEMENT FOR EXTENSION OF MARYMOUNT SEWER WHEREAS, it is necessary, desirable and convenient for the public health and welfare , to reduce pollution,and to avoid the use of septic tanks , that the sanitary sewer system of the City, be extended from time to time to serve lands within the City not so served; and, WHEREAS , it is determined to be necessary, desirable and convenient for the public health and welfare that the sanitary sewer existing between Lots 13 and 14 in Marymount Addition be extended westerly and northerly to make available sanitary sewers to serve lands within the City in the Northwest Quarter of Section 27, Township 17 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd P .M. ; and, WHEREAS , in order to so extend said sewer it is necessary that lands and rights in land be acquired to construct said public improvement, either by voluntary agreement, or by the exercise of the power of eminent domain as the City has been authorized by the provisions of Illinois Revised Statutes 1977 , Chpater 24 , paragraph 11-61-1 among others. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to cause plans , profiles and construction drawings to be prepared for the construction of, and to cause to be constructed an extension of the existing sewer in Marymount Addition as aforesaid, from its terminus at the manhole near the northerly common corners of Lots 13 and 14 of said addition westerly twenty-five feet and to there be constructed a new manhole and therefrom to be constructed a further extension of said sanitary sewer northwesterly 240 feet and to there be constructed another new manhole. Section 2 . That it be, and it is hereby, determined to be necessary and desirable that the City, in order to carry out and cause the construction of the public improvement as aforesaid, acquire title and possession of the following described real property situated in the County of Macon, Illinois: Tract l : An easement to construct, operate and maintain a sar�itary sewer in and upon premises 10 feet in width the centerline of which commences at a point
