<br /> AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE
<br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS
<br /> WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the
<br /> City of Decatur, Illinois, the sworn petitions of Sharon Stanbery,
<br /> et al,and Paul Julian Dubois ,et al, requesting that premises
<br /> described as :
<br />' The East 501. 10 feet of the West 1,134 . 7 feet of
<br /> the Southwest 4 of the Southeast ; of Section
<br /> 16 , Township Sixteen, Range Two East of the 3rd
<br /> P.M. , except the North 1,081. 9 feet thereof,
<br /> Situated in Macon County, Illinois,
<br /> be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, it is shown by affidavit that said petitions
<br /> are signed by all of the owners of record of said premises and by all
<br /> of the electors residing therein; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of
<br /> Decatur, Illinois, and is not a part of any City, Village,
<br /> Incorporated Town, or other Municipality; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action on annexation
<br /> of said territary has been given as provided by statute.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
<br /> CITY OF DECATUR, TLLINOIS :
<br /> Section 1. That the said territory hereinabove described, along
<br /> with all parts of pi:blic highways therein or next and adjacent
<br /> thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the same are hereby,
<br /> annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur,
<br /> Illinois, a municipal corporation.
<br /> Section 2 . That a �lat of said annexed premises is attached
<br /> hereto and made a part hereof.
<br /> Section 3 . Tha t the City Clerk cause certified copies of this
<br /> ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded
<br /> by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois.
