<br /> WHEREAS , there has been filed with tne City Clerk of ths
<br /> City of Decatur, Illinois, the sworn petitions of Sharon Stanbery,
<br /> et al, and Paul Julian Dubois ,et al , requesting tha� premises
<br /> described as :
<br /> � The East 501. 10 feet of the West 1 ,Z34 . 7 feet of
<br /> the Southwest 4 of the Southeast i of Section
<br /> 16 � Township SiYteen, Range 'T':ao East of the 3r3
<br /> P.M. , except the North 1,081. 9 feet thereof,
<br /> Situated in �Iacon County, Illinois,
<br /> be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and,
<br /> WHEREAS , iL is shown by affidavit tnat said petitions
<br /> are signed by a11 of the owners of record o� said premises and by all
<br /> of the electors residing therein; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to tne City oz
<br /> Decatur, Illinois, and is not a part of any City, Vil.lage,
<br /> Incorporated Town, or other Municipality; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action on annexation
<br /> of said territory has been given as provided by statute .
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL 0�' THE
<br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS :
<br /> Section l. That the said territory hereinabove described, alonc
<br /> with all parts of public highways therein or next and adjacent
<br /> thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, ar.d the same are hereby,
<br /> annexed to ar,d are incarporated intc the limits of the City of Decatur,
<br /> Illinois, a municipal corporation.
<br /> Section 2 . That a plat of said annexed premises is attached
<br /> hereto and made a part hereof.
<br /> Section 3 . Tha t the City Clerk cause certified copies of this
<br /> ordinance to be respectively filed with t;�e County Clerk and record�d
<br /> by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois .
