Marley, P.E., Public Works Director <br /> SUBJECT: Agreement with AECOM Technical Services, Inc., to Perform Bridge Inspections, <br /> City Project 2016-06 <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached Resolutions authorizing the Mayor to <br /> sign and the City Clerk to attest to the following items: <br /> 1. Resolution authorizing a professional engineering services agreement between the City of <br /> Decatur and AECOM Technical Services, Inc., to perform bridge inspections and prepare <br /> preliminary bridge condition reports for a fee of$77,803.80. <br /> 2. Resolution appropriating $77,803.80 in Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) funds to pay for the agreement <br /> with AECOM to perform bridge inspections and prepare preliminary bridge condition reports <br /> for the subject bridges. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> June 20, 2016—The City Council was given a memorandum detailing the condition and status of the <br /> City's bridges that fall within the jurisdiction of the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS). <br /> This memorandum identified bridges with structural concerns: <br /> Mound Road/ Spring Creek(East) Bridge (Currently under construction) <br /> Mound Road/ Spring Creek(West) Bridge <br /> Mound Road/ Spring Creek(Middle) Bridge <br /> Center Street/ Stevens Creek Bridge <br /> Meadowlark Bridge <br /> Taylor Road Bridge <br /> Grove Road Bridge <br /> Garfield Avenue Brid�e/ Illinois Central Railroad Yard <br /> Garfield Avenue/22° Street Bridge <br /> Country Club/ Lake Decatur Bridge <br /> �, 1 .,, <br />
