" Section 5. That said ordinance be, and the same is hereby, amended at Section 16 thereof, so that said section as so amended shall provide as follows: i "Section 16. That, pursuant to and in accordance i with the applicable provisions of statute regarding the � adoption of certain codes and other matters by reference, The Code for the Installation of Heat Producing Appli- ances, Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning, Blower and Exhaust Systems, Edition 196� of the American Insurance Association are adopted by reference." Section 6. That said ordinance be, and it is hereby, amended by adding Section 20a immediately Following Section 20 thereof, said added section to provide as follows: "Section 20a. Al1 heating systems intended to supply comfort heating for areas of human habitation or occupation shall be of such size and capacity that the air temperature in said areas may be maintained at 70° F. while the outside tempexature is -10° F. All cooling systems intended to supply comfort cooling for said areas shall be of such size and capa- city that the air temperature in said areas rnay be reduced at least 18° F, below outside temperature when such outside tem- perature is 95� F. The definitions and descriptions of the words used in this section are those set out in the BOCA Basic Building Code or The One and Two Family Dwelling Code. Either or both of the requirements of this section may be modif ied or waived by the building official where unusual circumstances of use, constructi�n, location or other similar consideration rea- sonably requires. Such �aodification or waiver shall not be ef- fective unless the same is expressly stated in writing, signed by the building official and attached to the required permit. Absent such writing, the permittee represents and agrees the ap- plicable requirement, or requirements will be so met. "
