5 <br /> (g) No change o� occupancy or use sha11 be made in a build- <br /> ing hereafter erected or altered that is not consistent ��rith the <br /> last issued certificate of occupancy for such building, unless a <br /> permit is secured. In case of an existing building, no change of <br /> occupancy that �vould bring it under some special provision of this <br /> ordinance shall be made, unless the Building Official finds, upon <br /> inspec�ion, that such building conforms substantially to the pro- <br /> visions of law r,ri.th respect to the proposecl new occupancy and use, <br /> and said official issues a certificate or occupancy therefor. The <br /> use or a building or premises shall not be deemed to nave changee� <br /> because o�' a temporary vacancy or change of o��,mership or tenancy. <br /> The re-establishment in a building, after a change of occupancy has <br /> been made, of a prior use that would not have been permitted in a <br /> ne w building of the same type of construction, is prohibited. The <br /> change irom a specifically prohibited use to another specifically <br /> prohibited use shall not be made. <br /> 19. (a) 6Vhenever the Building Of�icial finds that a building <br /> or structure, or any w�rlc in connection there��aith, th� erection, <br /> construction, or alteration, execution or repair of �ich is regu- <br /> Iated, p�rmitted or forbidden by this ordinance, is being erected, <br /> constructed, altered or repaired, in violation oi a detailed state- <br /> ment or plan submitted and approved thereunder, or of a permit or <br /> certificate issue d thereunc�er he may serve a written notice or order <br /> upon the pex'son responsible the refor directing di_scontinuance or such <br /> illegaZ action and the remedying of the condition tha� is in viola- <br /> tion o�` thP provisions or requirements oS this, or other, ordinances. <br /> (b) In case such notice or order is not promptly com�lied with, <br /> aPprohriate action or procee�ing shall be commenced to r�strain, <br /> correct or remove such violation, or the execution of worl: thexeon, <br /> or to prevent the occupation or use o:i the building ox structur� <br /> erected, constructea, altered, or repairecl in violation of, or not in <br /> compliance with, the provisions oi this ordinance, or �vith r�s;rct to <br /> which the requirements thereof, or o-� an�r orc,er or direction made pur- <br /> suant to provisions contained therein, shall not have been complied <br /> �vith. <br /> (c ) ��Jhenever in the opinion or the BuiJding Of_cicial, by reason <br /> oi dexectivn or ilZegal �vork in violation o.i a provision or requirP- <br /> ment of this ordinance, the continuance of a bu�_lding operation is con- <br /> trarJ to public health, sa�ety or welfar�, he may order, either orall;� <br /> or in writing, alI �urther work to be stopped and suspended until �he <br /> condition in violation ha s been remedie d.
