' � ��'M� ' �«1 • � ORDINANCE NO. � AN ORDINANCE ADO PrING BASIC HOUSING AND PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE AND REPEALING CERTAIN ORDINANCES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That, pursuant to and in accordance with appli- cable provisions of statute regarding adoption of certain codes and other matters by reference, the BOCA Basic Housing - Property Main- tenance Code Second Edition 1970, including the 1971 Supplement there- to of Building Officials & Code Administrators International, Inc. be, and the same is hereby, adopted by reference with the followi,ng excep- tions: (a) Section H-111.0 of said code is amended by deleting therefrom in the last sentence of said section the words "and such other ordi- nances or codes are hereby declared to be repealed to the extent that they may be found in conflict with this code" and by placing a period in said last sentence after the word "preva il"; (b) Section H-140.3 is deleted from said code and is not hereby adopted by reference; and (c) Section H-141.0 is deleted from said code and is not hereby adopted by reference. Section 2. That this oYdinance and the code adopted hereby shall be administered within the jurisdiction of the City of Decatur, Illinois, by the Director of Community Developme nt and that said Director be, and he is hereby, designated the rnforcement Officer for sa id purpose and wherever in said code reference is made to the build- ing official such reference shall be taken to mean and to designate said Director.
