; , <br /> ._ y _ {�r �. ✓ <br /> - ..� <br /> �� . <br /> ORDINANCE NO. �l <br /> � , , <br /> ^„/� ORDINANCE MODIFYING CHAR(�S FOR USE OF <br /> �� MOTOR VEHTCLE PARKING SYSTEM rACILITIES <br /> AND AMENDING CERTAIN ORDINANCES 6VITH RE- <br /> GARD THERETO. <br /> ��REAS, pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of <br /> ordinance for the issuance of revenue bonds by which funds were ac- <br /> quired for the purpose of acquiring and constructing facilities of <br /> thE Nlotor Vehicle Parking System of the City, a required survey and <br /> study of the operation of said system and a rep ort based thereon has <br /> been made by Barton-Aschman Associa tes where in said consultants re- <br /> commend that charges for the use of certain of the facilities of said <br /> system be modified in order to encourage an increase in the total re- <br /> ceipts of said system so that the various required funds and accounts <br /> therein can better be funded and the obligation of the City to the bond <br /> holders can better be met. <br /> NOW, THE�FORE, BE IT ORDI�INED BY THE COUNCYL, OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That in accordance with and pursuant to the appli- <br /> cable provisions of Chapter 30 of the City Code and to the provisions <br />� of other ordinances of the City certain of the charges for the use of <br /> certain of the facilities of the Motor Vehicle Parking Syste m of the <br /> City be, and the same are hereby, modified as hereinafter set out here- <br /> in. <br /> Section 2. That the hourly charges or rates for occupancy of each <br /> space in those facilities of said system designate� as Garages A, B and <br /> C be, and the same are hereby, changec3, modified and established as <br /> follows: <br /> (a ) For any period of one hour or less, 20�; <br /> (b) For any continuous period ot one to eight hours, 20� <br /> for the first hour and 5� for each half-hour, or frac- <br /> tional part of a ha lf-hour, afte r the first hour; <br /> (c) For any continuous period of eight to twelve hours, <br /> $1.00; <br /> (d) The end of each co ntinuous period of twelve hours shall <br /> be considered as the com mencement of a new period and <br /> the applicable rates of (a) , (b) and (c) shall be applied <br /> accordingly. <br />
