All w�rds and phrases in th is Chapter which are defined in <br /> the Act of the General Assembly of the State of Illinois entitled � <br /> "An Act Relating to Alcoholic Liquors, " approved January 31, 1934, as <br /> amended, shall have the meaning given to said words in that Act. � <br /> 2. The Mayor shall be the Local Liquor Control Commissioner and � <br /> shall have such duties and powers as may be prescribed by Ordinance � <br /> of the City or by statute of the State of Illinois. � <br /> i <br /> 3. No person, firm or corporation shall sell at retail any in- <br /> toxicating liquor without having a license for each location to be <br /> used. No license shall be issued for a shorter period than six (6) <br /> months nor for a longer period than one year. All licenses shall e x- � <br /> pire June 30th next after issuance . <br /> 4. There shall be three classes of retail licenses: (1) Re- wl <br /> tailer 's License, under which the licensee may sell to the general { <br /> public alcoholic liquor in packages or by the drink for consumption � <br /> on or off the premises where sold; (2) Club Licenses, under whic h E <br /> the licensee may sell alcoholic liquor for consumption on or off the � <br /> premises, where sold only to members of such club and invited guests F <br /> of said members, when such guest is personally attended by a member; ; <br /> (3 ) Package Liquor License, under which the licensee may sell to the <br /> general public alcoholic liquor in original packages only for consum- � <br /> tipn off the premises where sold. <br /> 5. Application shall be made as required by this Code and shall ! <br /> be delivered by the City Clerk to the Local Liquor Control Commissioner � <br /> for action. The application shall shocv the name, age, and address of an � <br /> individual applicant, and of the persons entitled to pa rticipate in the E <br /> profits, if a partnership applicant, and the objects, the names and F <br /> addresses of the officers and directors, if a ccrporate applicant, and � <br /> whether or not one person owns a controlling interest in such corporation, <br /> and if so, his name and address; the citizenship, place of birth, and � <br /> place of naturalization, if foreign born, of an individual applicant ; i <br /> the location and description of the premises where such liquor will be ' <br /> sold and served or consumed; whether or not any previous similar license � <br /> has been applied for, the pZace of application, and the disposition of � <br /> such application, and if revoked, the reasons therefor and whether or ; <br /> not the applicant has ever been convicted of a relony. No license will <br /> be issued to any person ineligible under Section 2 of Article 6 of the ; <br /> Act above referred to. A manager or agent , including bartenders, must � <br /> have the same qualifications as the person or firm to whom the license ' <br /> is issuedo All applications shall be verified by the applicant or if � <br /> a corporation, by an authorized officer thereof. <br /> EXt�IBIT A <br />
