. � �. �/ <br /> ORDINANCE NO. � � O "I <br /> � <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING ELECTRICAL OODE <br /> OF THE�CITY OF DECATUR ILLINOIS <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Ordinanae No. 5054 of The City of DecatuY, <br /> Illinois, passed, approved and recorded August 19, 1968, entitled <br /> AN ORDINANCE REQJLATING THE INSTALLATION� ALTERATION AND USE OF ELEC- <br /> TRICAL EQUIPMENT E1ND ESTABLISHING AN EI.ECTRICAL INSPECTION DEPARZI�IENT, <br /> as heretofore amended, be, and the same is hereby amended at the herein- <br /> after designated sections thereof, so that said ordinance at said sec- <br /> tions as so amended shall provide as follows: <br /> Sect ion 5. No person sha11 install or alter electrical <br /> equipment or wiring in the City of Decatur, Illinois, or en- <br /> gage in the business of an electrical contractor therein, with- , <br /> out being registered as an electrical contractor under the pro- <br /> visions of this ordinance, provided that a person xesiding in <br /> a single family dwelling owned by such person, may install or <br /> alter electrical equipment and wiring the rein subject to all <br /> other provisions of this ordina nce without being so registered. <br /> Section 6. No person shall be registered as an electrical <br /> contractor under the provisions of this ordinance until he shall <br /> have made application therefore, shall have paid the regist�ation <br /> fee require d h�ffr�by and except in the case of renewal of registra- <br /> tion shall have satisfactorily passed the examination required by <br />�, the provisions hereof, except that a person currently registered <br />� as an electrical contractor in another city in the State of Illinois <br /> may be registered in this City without payment o�E such fee and with- <br /> out examination if the Electrical Commission is othe rwise satisfied <br /> said person is sufficiently experienced and qualified to meet the <br /> minimum require ments for registration under this ordinance. <br /> � � a� <br /> Section I3. Each electrical contractor registered under this <br /> ordinance shall keep currently in torce at all t imes a policy of <br /> insurance, with an insurer authorized to do business in the State <br /> of Illinois, insuring said contractor along �vith the City as an ad- <br /> ditional named insured, for worlanan's compensation, if applicable, <br /> and general contractors liability including completed operations <br /> with coverage limits for personal injury of not less than $100,000 <br /> 1 <br />
