Rupp <br /> Mayor, City of Decatur <br /> Joint Improvement Agreement <br /> FAP Route 2 <br /> Macon County <br /> Page 2 <br /> February 2, 1973 <br /> 3• Upon completion of the improvement, the City agrees <br /> to maintain, or cause to be maintained, al ) traffic <br /> controt signals and to provide the energy for the <br /> operation thereof. The State retains the right to <br /> control the sequence and timing of the traffic con- <br /> trol signals. <br /> 4. It is mutually agreed by and between the parties hereto <br /> that the estimated cost of the improvement is $18,000 <br /> plus $2,700 for engineering, or a total of $20,700. <br /> 5. It is mutually agreed that the covenants contained <br /> herein shall become null and void in the event the <br /> contract covering the construction work contemplated <br /> herein is not awarded by December 31 , 1974• <br /> 6. It is mutually agreed that this agreement shall be <br /> binding upon and inure to the benefit of the parties <br /> hereto, their successors and assigns. <br /> If the conditions contained herein are acceptabie to the City, <br /> it is requested that the City Council pass a resolution authorizing <br /> the Mayor to sign this agreement in behaif of the City and return one <br /> of the two copies to this office. <br /> Very truly yours, <br /> /� <br /> � �2�'�' i E�i•-�r <br /> J.
