ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONTRACT NEW WATER TREATN�NT PLANT PROJECT 5-72 WHEREAS, plans and specificationsfor the constxuction of a new water treatment plant commonly known as City Project No. 5-72, have hereto- fore been prepared and have been presented to and approved by the Council; and V�hiEREAS, pursuant to notice, bids for the construction of said facility have heretofore been received by the Council and have been examined and analyzed; and WHEREAS� the bid of C & C/BOHRER� INC., in the amount of $7,319,140.�0 appears to be the best bid subrnitted; and 4�IEREAS, lands have been acquired for the site for said facility; and t�!-IEREAS� the issuance of water revenue bonds to provide funds to pay the costs of said facility has heretofore been ordained, and bids for the pur- chase of said bonds have been received and one of said bids has been approved and accepted, and said funds will be received upon the delivery of such bonds. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS; Section 1. That the bid of C & C/ BOHRER, INC., heretofore received for the construction of a new water treatment plant in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore prepared and approved under City Project No. 5-72, in the amount oF $7,319,140.00 be, and the same is here by, approved and accepted. Section 2. That the contract, a copy of w�ich is hereto attached, between the City and said Company in accordance with said bid be, and the same is hereby, approved. Section 3. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to sign, seal and attest said contract on behalf of the City.
