� Engineering Fee Paragraph 3 - (a) The compensation for the services rendered <br /> ' under the provisions of Paragraph 1 (sub-paragraph a and b) and <br /> Paragraph 2 (sub-paragraph a and b) shall be percentage of the total <br /> estimated construction cost of $�e said contemplated improvements, <br /> determined as follows: <br /> Cost of Construction Basic Fee (Percent) <br /> First $ 70,000. .. .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . .13.00 <br /> Next 80,000.. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .... ... . .10.10 <br /> Next 150,000. . . . . . . . . . . . . .. ... . . .. . . .8.30 <br /> Next 200,000. .. .. . . . . .. . . .. . . . . . . .. ..7.20 <br /> Next 500,000. . . . . .. . .. . . .. .. . ..... . . .6.50 <br /> Next 1,000,000. . . .. . . . . . . .... . ... . .. .. .5.90 <br /> The compensation for the services rendered under Paragraph 1 <br /> shall be Seventy Percent (70%) of the above determined basic fee. <br /> The compensation for the services rendered under Paragraph 2 shall <br /> be Thirty Percent (30%) of the above determined basic fee. <br /> f,b) The compensation for the services rendered under the <br /> provisions of Paragraph 1 shall be due and payable quarterly on <br /> estimates made by the Engineer and in proportion to the estimated <br /> percentage of completion of the services to be rendered in accord- <br /> ance with the provisions of said Paragraph 1 (sub-paragraph a and b). <br /> (c) The compensation for the services rendered under the <br /> provisions of Parag�aph 2 (sub-paragraphs a and b) shall be due and <br /> payable from time to time during the progress of construction of <br /> said improvements and in amounts proportional to the value of the <br /> work performed in the construction of said project from month to month. <br /> (d) Final payment for services rendered under the provisions <br /> of Paragraph 1 and 2 shall be due and payable upon the completion <br /> of said improvements. <br /> Abandonment Paragraph 4 - It is hereby understood and agreed that should the <br /> of Work City abandon the improvements for reasons beyond its control, and on <br /> which it has ordered detailed plans, specifications and estimates, or <br /> shall be compelled to terminate any other work before the completion <br /> thereof at a point where the amount of the fees due the Engineer cannot <br /> be determined on a percentage basis, in accordance with the provisions <br /> of the foregoing paragraphs of this Contract, then the Engineer shall <br /> be entitled to and shall receive a reasonable fee for the services <br /> actually rendered on such improvements up to the time the improvements <br /> are ordered abandoned and the engineering work thereby discontinued. <br /> Revision of Paragraph 5 - It is hereby understood and agreed that if the said <br /> Plans detailed plans, specifications and estimates of cost are presented to <br /> the City and have been approved by the City and the said detailed plans, <br /> specifications and estimates of cost are thereafter substanially changed, <br /> or revised, for any reason other than the fault of the Engineer in pre- - <br /> paring same, then the Engineer shall }se entitled to and shall receive <br /> a reasonable additional compensation for said revisions, which amount <br /> shall be due and payable upon the completion of said revisions. <br />
