, , �•, <br /> Detailed Paragraph 6 - During the period of performance of sub-surface <br /> Resident explorations and also of construction of said improvements, the <br /> Inspection Engineer shall furnish detailed resident inspection services accept- <br /> able to the City. Such resident inspection shall contemplate the furnish- <br /> ing of a full-time resident engineer inspector (or inspectors, as necessary; <br /> for the period of active construction of the project. Such resider�t <br /> engineer inspector shall provide those services which are customarily <br /> referred to as detailed resident engineering inspection services. <br /> The compensation due the Engineer for furnishing the detailed <br /> �esident inspection services required under the provisions of this <br /> Paragraph shall be Three Percent (3%) of �he totat construction <br /> costs of the improvements. Compensation for the services rendered <br /> under the provisions of this Paragraph shall be due and payable to the <br /> Engineer from time to time during the progress of construction of <br /> said improvements and in amounts proportional to the value of the <br /> work performed in the construction of said Project. Final payment <br /> for services rendered under the provisions of this Paragraph shall <br /> be due and payable upon the completion of said improvements. <br /> Special Paragraph 7 - Property, boundary or right-of-way acquisition <br /> Engineering surveys and/or descriptions and services pertinent to special assess- <br /> Services ment and court preceedings shall be considered special services and <br /> will be furnished by the City. Provided however, if necessary to the <br /> proper conduct of the said improvements, the City may elect to instruct <br /> the Engineer to provide the special services outlined herein. <br /> When instructed by the City to furnish such speiial services, <br /> the compensation due the Engineer for services rendered under the <br /> provisions of this Paragraph shall be actual cost plus One Hundred <br /> Percent (100'/) for overhead and profit, plus "outside expense" at <br /> net cost. The term "outside expense" shall include transportation <br /> and subsistenceincurred by the Engineer or his assistants traveling <br /> in discharge of duties connected with the work, and shall include <br /> the net cost of incidental expenses such as telegrams, telephone toll <br /> charges, extra productions of prints or photos of drawings, specifica- <br /> tions and other documents required for the proper execution of the <br /> service to be rendered. <br /> Compensation earned under the provisions of this Paragraph <br /> shall be paid quarterly upon submission by the Engineer of invoices <br /> detailing the cost and expenses incurred. <br />
