� � ✓ <br /> r � <br /> �.r; f_ . <br /> ORDINANCE NO. -s�� � <br /> ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION OF <br /> NEW WATER TRfiATN16NT FACI LTTY , <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has heretofore authorized a compr�- <br /> hensive study of the water supply, treatment and distribution faci- <br /> litie� of the City, which said study was undertaken and a report <br /> of the results thereof was made to and received by this Council; and <br /> WHERBAS, this Council has heretofore accepted certain of <br /> the recommendations of said report, among which recommendations was <br /> the construction of a new water treatment facility in addition to, and <br /> at another location from, existing treatment facilities; and <br /> WF�sREAS, this Council did ther�aft�r authorize and direct the <br /> acquisition of lands for the construction of gaid new treatment faci- <br /> lity, and did retain engineers to design the same; and <br /> WHEREAS, said lands have in part been acquired, and the re- <br /> mainder thereoF is soan to be acquired, and said engineers have design- <br /> ed said facility and have prepared and made the necessary plans, speci- <br /> fications and working dra wings for the same and have su bmitted them to <br /> the Council. <br /> NOW THfiIzBFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DfiCATUR� ILLINOIS; <br /> , Section 1. That the Council finds that it is necessary, and <br /> for the best interests of the City, to construct a new water treatment <br /> facility to increase the capability of the City to furnish treated <br /> water in greater quantities throu gh its water distribution system. <br /> Section 2.
