(Form of Notice) "NOTICE of special election to vote upon the questions of the approval of a certain ordi- nance adopted by the Council of the City of Decatur, Macon County, Iilinois, on the �� day of october , 1971, providing for ac- quiring proper�y necessary or appropriate for the operation of a public utility for the transportation of persons within the corporate limits of the City of Decatur, describing the property to be acquired and providing for borrowing money and issuing full faith and credit bonds to the amount of $250,000 to pay the cost thereof, to operate for hire a public utility for the transportation of persons, to issue $250,000 'Decatur Transit System Bonds ' and to adopt the provisions of Division 120 of Article 11 of the Illinois Municipal Code of 1961, as amended. " PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that a special election has been called and will be held in and for the City of Decatur, Macon County, Illinois, on the 16th day of November , 1971, at which time there will be submit�to the electors � of said City the following questions : I I. QUESTION TO APPROVE AN ORDINANCE Shall the ordinance adopted by the Council of the City of Decatur, Macon County, Illinois, on the 12tn day of october , 1971, and providing for acquiring property necessary or appropriate for the operation of a public utility for the trans- portation of persons within the corporate limits of said City, describing the property to be ac- quired, providing for borrowin� money and the issu- ance of full faith and credit bonds to the amount of $250,000 for the purpose of payin� the cost of the acquisition of such property and providing for the levy and collection of a direct annual tax for the payment of the principal of and interest on said bonds, be adopted? II. QUESTION TO OPERATE FOR HIRE A PUBLIC UTILITY Shall the City of Decatur, Macon County, Illinois, operate for hire a public utility for the trans- portation of persons within the corporate limits of said City and for the use and benefit oP pri- vate users and impose charges for the use thereof? III. QUESTION TO ISSUE $250,000 DECATUR TR.ANSIT SYSTEM BONDS Shall bo�ds in the amount of $250,000 be isaued by the City of Decatur, Macon County, Illinois, Por the purpose of paying the cost of acquiring property necessary or appropriate for the opera- tion of a public utility for the transportation of persons within the corporate limits of said City, said bonds to be dated as of December 1, 19?1, to be fifty (50) in number, numbered con- secutively from 1 to 50, inclusive, oP the -6-
