Any person who violates any provision hereof shall, <br /> upon conviction, be fined not less than $25 .00 nor more than $500.00 <br /> and each day upon which such violation is allowed to continue may be <br /> deemed a separate offense . <br /> Section 44. In addition to any other penalty or action provided <br /> or authorized hereby, theCity may institute any appropriate action or <br /> proceeding to prevent any violation hereof, to restrain, correct or <br /> abate such violation. <br /> Section 45. In addition to any other penalty or action provided <br /> or authorized hereby, if any licensed plumber , plumber 's apprentice or <br /> certified plumbing contractor violates any provisions hereof, the City <br /> may cause complaint to be brought to the attention of the Department <br /> of Registration and Education of the State of Illinois or the Department <br /> of Public Health of the State of Illinois, as the case may be, and may <br /> seek the revocation or suspension of license or certificat�. <br /> Section 46. If any section, su bsection, paragrap�, sentence, clause <br /> or phrase of this ordinance should be declared invalid for any reason <br /> whatsoever, such decision shall not affect the remaining portions of this <br /> ordinance , which shall remain in full force and effect; and to this end <br /> the provisions of this ordinance are hereby declared to be severable. <br /> Section 47.
