. . . CHAPTER 68 SEWER CONNECTIOIVS 1. Before any pipe, cvnduit, out-fall, sew�er or drain is connecte d with any existing sevae�r of the City, or any existing sewer under the juris- diction or control oF the City, a permit to make such connection shall be obtained from the Department of Public Works of the City upon application and fu rnishing such information in such form as may be required by the Direc- tor of said Department to enable the City to conveniently locate, inspect and make a record of such connection; to determine the mechanical suff iciency af said connection and the service proposed to be accomplished thereby; and to otherwise carry out the work and duties of the various concerned departments of the City and serve the purposes and provisions of the ordinances, rules and regulations thereof. 2. No such connection shall be made until all applicable fees or charges elsewhere provided by ordinance, along with a connection charge in an amount determined as provided in this Chapter, are paid. 3. The arnount of the connection charge shall be determined by the D�- partment of Public Works upon the following basis; (a ) If the sewer to which cannectian is to be made was con- structed as past of a project of a special assessment district, and all the premises to be served by the connection were spe- c ially assessed for the construction of said project in the same manner and to the same extent as the remainder of said di.strict, no additional connectinn chazge will be required; BXHIBIT "A"
