� , „e,. . . �. � c' � ORDINANCB NO. --� � ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING MINIMUM MAINTfiNANCE, CONDITION AND OCCUPANCy STANDARDS FOR I�N—Rfi SIDENTIAL STRUCTURES AND P1�MISfiS AND PROVIDING FOR THfi ENFORCEMfiNT THfiREOF WHEREAS, the Council finds that it is necessary a nd desirable in order to protect the public health, safety and welfare, that minimum standards be e�stablished for the maintenance, condition and occupancy of commercial, business, institutional and indu�trial premises and the improvements thereon; to establish minimum standards for utilities, facilities and other physical components and conditions rea�onably necessary to cau�e such premises and improvements to be suitabl¢ far '� occupancy and use; to fix certain responsibilities and duties with regard to said standards upon the own�rs and operators of such premises; to authorize and establish procedures for the i nspection of such premi- ses and improvements; and, to provide for the administration and enforce- ment thereof. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DfiCATUR, ILLINOISs S�ction 1. This ordinance shall be known, and may be cited as the Non-residential Stretc�'tttre Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois. Section 2. All commercial, business, institutional and industrial premises and the i�aprovements thereon now existing or hereafter con- structed or established �hall be subject to the provisions of this ordinance.
