5447 ESTABLISHING MINIMUM MAINTENANCE, CONDITION AND OCCUPANCY STANDARDS FOR NON-RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURES AND PREMISES AND PROVIDING FOR THE ENFORCEMENT THEREOF

- 6 - Section 4. This Ordinance establishes minimum standards both for the initial and the continued occupancy and use of all buildings to which it is applicable. The provisions of this Ordinance shall apply to premi�es and the improvements thereon, whether or not such inprove- ments are made or constructed after the effective date hereof or were existing on the effective date hereof an d without regard to the pro- visions or terms of permits heretofore issued for the construction, installation, remodeling, repair or alteration of such improvements or , any part thereof. Section 5. Non-residential premises and the exterior of all structur�thereon� before the sa�e are occupied and during the time that the same are occupied, shall be made and kept clean, sanitary and free from refuse and any hazards to the safety of occupants or other persons utili2ing the premises or in near proximity thereto. The owner or operator shall make and keep the premises free of �uch hazards as include, but are not limited to, the following: A. Such natural growth which by reason of rotting, deterioration or storm damage constitute a present recognizable danger to persons on or adjacent to the premise�. B. Loose and overhanging objects such as signs, lights or excessive accumulation of ice or snow which by reason of location constitute a danger of falling.
