CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS PROPOSED LAKE DECATUR HARBOR FACILITIES CITY PROJECT 14-70 ENGINEERING SERVICE CONTRACT , Part i e s to TH I S AGREEMENT, made and entered i nto th i s ;��day of ��L�.p�� u��r� ��r , Contract A.D. , 197 L, by and between the CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS, h�reinafter referred to as the "City" and BLANK AND WESSELINK & ASSOCIATES, a partnership, Consulting Engirr ers of Decatur, Illinoi�s, hereinafter referred to as the "Engineer", WITNESSETH: Scope of PARAGRAPH (1) - IT IS HEREBY MUTUALLY AGREED by and between the Parties Construction hereto that, when this agreement is approved by ; the Department of Con- Work servation of the Stateof Illinois and said approval is endorsed hereon, the said Blank and Wesselink & Associates be and the same is hereby em- ployed by the said City as Engineer on the Proposed Project consisting of the scope of construction work as defined herein. SCOPE OF CONSTRUCTION WORK: A. Precast reinforced concrete and structural steel seawall starting at the east edge of the existing boat launching ramps at Nelson Park Boat House and continuing in a gen- erall southerl direction to a roximatel the north ed e Y Y Pp Y 9 of the existing breakwater. B. Holding tank to accept manually discharged sanitary wastes from boats using Lake Decatur. The said Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to perform the engineering services required upon the said Proposed Improvements, to represent the City in all engineering negotiations relating thereto, and to perform the engineering services of preparing de- tailed surveys, detailed plans, specifications and estimates of costs; making field surveys and establishing lines and grades and otherwise furnishing professional engineering supervision and if directed by the City, detailed resident inspection of construction of the previously described proposed improvements, for and on behalf of the said City of Decatur, Illinois. -1-
