5293 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT FOR ANIMAL CONTROL

' ' , . r ' �,. 2 City owns and maintains for animal control use certain suitable trucks and other equipment and does employ animal control wardens; and WHEREAS, both the Town and the City have responsibility for controlling animals within their said respective jurisdictions and by joining together in the performance of their respective oblig- tions and responsibilities and sharing the costs thereof, substantial savings in the cost of operation of animal control efforts have and will continue to accrue to the citizens of both said Town and said City. NOW THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED BY AND BETWEEN THE TOWN AND THE CITY AS FOLLOWS : 1. The Town will extend and provide to and for the City full access and free use of the dog pound and the Town will maintain the dog pound premises and improvements thereat without any charge or expense to the City. 2 . The City will make available to the Town without charge the City' s animal control equipment and personnel which it will main- tain in good working order and furnish such gasoline, oil and repairs as may be necessary for such equipment and such salaries , wages and fringe benefits as shall be required for the employment of the animal control wardens by the City and the City shall also provide at its expense workmen's conpensation, public liability and property damage insurance protecting both the City and the Town from claims for damages arising out of the animal contol efforts of said animal con- trol wardens, including the use of motor vehicles . 3 . The Town will furnish and supply all necessary equip- ment and all consumable supplies and utilities other than water as may be necessary for the clean, efficient and proper operation of the dog pound.
