Award approval by IEPA and Notice of Award—February 21'(approximate)
f. Notice to Proceed after Bonds and Insurance
' g. Contract Completion—370 working days
It was noted that the"working day"definition on this project is different than the standard/DOT definition.
' h. Each bidder must advertise for DBE's at least 16 days prior to the bid opening or the bid will be
rejected.
It was again noted that Bidders must document compliance with BOTH the City's minority participation goals,
and with the disadvantaged business enterprise participation goals required for State Revolving Loan funding,
and that such compliance MUST be submitted with the bid.
XI. Questions
Q1. Can the Sanitary District of Decatur sewers be used for bypassing flow at the various structures?
Al. The SDD will be contacted to clarify which lines may be used, and under what circumstances.
Q2. The specs call for Contractors to submit initial structural design calculation for the CIPP with the bid
proposal, and final calculations after contract award and measurement of the sewers. Do Bidders actually
have to submit the initial calculations with the bid proposal?
A2. No, liner calculations do not have to be submitted with the bid.
Q3. What does the asterisk (*)
reference?
A6. We will review the section and issue a clarification.
Q7. Will road ramps be allowed for bypass pumping?
A7. On/DOT roads,no. On City streets, possibly, depending on the street.
Q8. Have additional manhole lining systems/materials been approved?
A8.
