Discussed the intermediate completion date of July 15, 2017 to complete the work through the Nelson Park Parking Lot. The contractors expressed some concern about materials arriving on time to finish the required work by this date. BWC and the City of Decatur discussed some ' options including asking IDOT approved concrete pipe suppliers about time frames to have materials delivered to site and possible partial award of contract to complete this intermediate work. BWC contacted County Materials Corp. out of Charleston, IL who advised that delivery ' of materials to Decatur should be within 1 week after the orders are signed and complete. 8. Discussed other documentation, progress payments, waivers, and qualifications described in ' Item VIII in the Pre-Bid Meeting Outline. The City Noted that no arrangements have been made to specify a lay down or storage area and that the contractor shall make arrangements at his own discretion. The City also stressed scheduling work so all work areas are paved prior to winter shutdown and that paving must be completed within 4 weeks of shutdown. The City ' also discussed traffic control planning so no more than 1 intersection is blocked at a time and access to driveways must be open by the end of each day. 9. Discussed tentative schedule dates. The Bid Opening is planned for March 30, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Notice of award is planned for approximately June 1, 2017. Intermediate Contract Completion is July 15, 2017 and final Contract Completion is October 31, 2018. Each bidder must advertise for DBE's 16 days prior to the bid opening.
