CITY OF DECATUR SPECIAL PROVISIONS SP-1 DESCRIPTION OF WORK The proposed improvement, designated as Section 17-00708-00-FP, consists of milling and overlaying a portion of Mound Road in the City of Decatur with hot mix asphalt surface of 1 '/2"depths. The work includes the removal,replacement,or adjustment of manholes and valve boxes and sidewalk ramps within the project limits. Crack filling is also included on various streets in the project. Mix C Mix D N.A. ' * If 20%or more RAP is used, PG 58-22 binder will be required. SP-3 TRUCK LOADING TO REDUCE MIX SEGREGATION Description: The mix is to be dumped into the haul truck in mass. Prior to loading, enough mix is to be in the bin or silo to load the truck. The truck is to be loaded in a maximum of three dumps. The initial load is to be in the rear 1/3 of the truck,the second dump in the front 1/3 of the truck and the final dump in the middle. ' Basis of Payment: This work will not be paid for separately but will be considered included in the contract. SP-4 BITUMINOUS MATERIALS (TACK COAT) Description: This work will consist of utilizing bituminous materials in accordance with Section 406.02 of the Standard Specifications and as modified herein. The Bituminous Material allowed as prime on brick, concrete, bituminous or aggregate bases shall be CSS-Ih or RC-70. Basis of Payment: All labor and materials necessary ary to comply with this specification will be paid for at the contract unit price per POUND for BITUMINOUS MATERIALS (TACK COAT). Page 4
