MINORITY PARTICIPATION GOALS: <br /> Contractors for City Projects shall comply with City Code Chapter 28, Article 10, "Minority <br /> Participation Goals for Public Works Contracts." <br /> Contractors for City projects shall make a good faith effort to comply with the following minimum <br /> goals: <br /> 1. Ten(10)percent of the total dollar amount of the contract should be performed by Minority <br /> Business Enterprises if subcontracting opportunities are available; and, <br /> 2. Eighteen (18)percent of the total hours worked should be performed by minority workers. <br /> Subcontracting is not required for a City project. Entler will be subcontracting 0.91%of the work <br /> which will be with a minority contractor to perform trucking operations for this project. Entler <br /> provided documentation showing a good faith effort was made to comply with the City's goals. <br /> SCHEDULE: <br /> Work on this project will begin in June and is to be completed by June 1,2018 <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Budget Impact: Funding for this project is currently allocated from the Sanitary Sewer Fund at <br /> $444,754 for sanitary sewer work, and the Stormwater Fund at$100,000 for storm sewer and <br /> drainage work. The Sewer Fund is supported by sanitary sewer user fees and the Stormwater Fund is <br /> supported by stormwater utility fees. The total project cost is $544,754. <br /> Staff Impact: The Capital Improvement Plan has allocated staff time for this project. The project <br /> will begin in June,2017 and will be completed by June 1,2018. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objections to this resolution. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Public Works Director, and Matthew Newell, City <br /> Engineer.
