i. Perform all duties incidental to the office of Chair, and those <br /> that may be prescribed by the Executive Board. <br /> ii. From time to time, create such sub-committees as may be <br /> needed for the Operations Group to perform its duties, and to <br /> appoint two (2) or more members of the Operations Group to <br /> each such sub-committee. <br /> b. Vice Chair <br /> In the absence of the Chair, conduct the meetings of the <br /> Operations Group. <br /> 3. Election of Officers <br /> a. At the November meeting of the Operations Group, it shall elect a <br /> Chair and Vice-Chair, each to serve a term of one (1) year. The <br /> Chair and the Vice-Chair cannot be from the same member <br /> agency, and each must represent a different branch of service (i.e. <br /> fire and police). The terms of newly elected officers shall <br /> commence upon adjournment of the November meeting. <br /> b. An Operations Group office shall be deemed vacant if the <br /> occupant ceases to be an employee of a member, or upon the <br /> death, resignation, or removal of the occupant. The Operations <br /> Group shall appoint a successor to fill the vacant office until the <br /> next annual election for that office. <br /> c. The Executive Board may remove an elected or appointed officer <br /> of the Operations Group whenever, in the Executive Board's <br /> judgment, the best interest of CIRDC would be served by the <br /> removal. <br /> 4. Meetings <br /> a. Regular meetings shall be held monthly. Notice of the regular <br /> meetings, including an agenda, shall be mailed to each member of <br /> the Operations Group at least seven (7) days before the meeting. <br /> b. Special meetings may be held at the call of the Chair, by the <br /> Operations Group upon its own motion, or called by the Chair upon <br /> the written request of a majority of the Operations Group members <br /> or their alternates. The date, time, and place of special meetings <br /> shall be determined by the Chair. The Chair shall cause notice of <br /> special meetings, including an agenda, to be given to each member <br /> 7 <br />
