❖ Marketing and Selection <br /> ➢ Develop strategy to identify goals for the solicitation and selection of TPA, stop-loss <br /> insurance and related products and services <br /> ➢ Solicit qualified TPA's and represent the City in negotiations on issues related to <br /> costs, service, and contract terms and conditions <br /> ➢ Analyze and compare proposals for cost competitiveness, compliance to City needs, <br /> and value <br /> ➢ Evaluate proposals for service responsiveness, capabilities and performance record <br /> ➢ Develop recommendations to City that includes complete analysis for each proposal <br /> and identification of variations or differences in the proposals <br /> ➢ Recommendation will include complete discussion of why the recommended TPA <br /> and stop-loss insurance is the best value for the City <br /> ➢ After City approval of TPA and related products, complete everything necessary to <br /> ensure smooth transition to new benefit period <br /> Planning and Strategies <br /> ➢ Provide ongoing analysis of plan designs, cost containment strategies and cost <br /> sharing alternatives <br /> ➢ Review plan costs trends and develop strategies to minimize impact of future <br /> requirements of regulations <br /> ➢ Review and provide impact of current wellness programs <br /> ➢ Outline and describe additional wellness initiatives and assist with the development <br /> and implementation of the wellness programs <br /> 3 <br />
