* RESOLUTION NO. R2011-178 <br /> RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF ILLINOIS <br /> FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO FAIRVIEW AVENUE FROM MARIETTA STREET TO <br /> SOUTH SIDE DRIVE TO INCLUDE BOTH APPROACHES FOR WEST MAIN STREET <br /> AND THE EAST APPROACH ON SUNSET AVENUE, CITY PROJECT 2011-22 <br /> WHEREAS , the CITY OF DECATUR has entered into an AGREEMENT with the STATE <br /> OF ILLINOIS, for the improvement of approximately 1.97 miles of FAP 716 (IL 48, Section (127R, <br /> RS-2)(130R-2, RS-1), City Section 11-00122-00-FP) from Marietta Street to South Side Drive in <br /> Decatur by pavement patching, hot-mix asphalt surface removal, hot-mix asphalt resurfacing, <br /> detector loops, inlet adjustment, pavement marking, and any other work necessary to complete the <br /> section. <br /> WHEREAS, in compliance with the aforementioned AGREEMENT, it is necessary for the <br /> CITY OF DECATUR to appropriate sufficient funds to pay its share of the said cost of the <br /> improvement. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that there is hereby appropriated the sum of <br /> TWENTY THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($23,000), or so much thereof as <br /> may be necessary, from any money now or hereafter allotted to the City of Decatur to pay its share <br /> of the cost of this improvement as provided in the AGREEMENT; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon award of the contract for this improvement, the <br /> CITY OF DECATUR will pay to the Department of Transportation of the State of Illinois in a lump <br /> sum from any funds allotted to the CITY OF DECATUR an amount equal to 85% of its obligation <br /> incurred under this Agreement, and will pay to the said DEPARTMENT the remainder of the <br /> obligation in a lump sum, upon completion of the project based upon final costs. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the CITY OF DECATUR agrees to pass a supplemental <br /> resolution to provide necessary funds for its share of the cost of this improvement if the.-amount <br /> appropriated herein proves to be insufficient to cover said cost. <br /> PRESENTED and ADOPTED this 21 S`day of Nq, emb <br /> ICHAEL T.
