R2006-161 <br /> RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AND AUTHORIZING <br /> EXPENDITURE OF CITY FUNDS <br /> - FIDO FIELDS DOG PARK - <br /> WHEREAS, the Decatur pog Park Committee plans to develop a dog park to be <br /> located in Fairview Park; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Fido Fields Dog Park plans include the development of a four acre <br /> otl=leash dog park designed as a year-round recreational and community space for dogs <br /> and their owners to exercise and socialize; and, <br /> WIIEREAS, Fido Fields Dog Park will include an electronic double-gated <br /> entrance with separate areas for small and large dogs with security and maintenance <br /> provided by the Decatur Park District; and, <br /> Wf�IEREAS, the City of Decatur has been asked to pledge its support of the <br /> development in the amount of$15,000.00. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITZ' COITNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1.
