R2002-195 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID <br /> MIDWEST TRANSIT EQUIPMENT, INC., <br /> -LIGHT DUTY PARATRANSIT VANS - <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Illinois has let bids for the purchase of light duty paratransit <br /> vans and has determined that MIDWEST TRANSIT EQUIPMENT, INC., is the lowest <br /> responsible bidder with a bid of$44,570 per van; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City is authorized to purchase vans from the State's bid if it chooses, <br /> without going through its own bidding process; and <br /> WHEREAS, the State has awazded the City of Decatur a joint federal-state grant in the <br /> amount of$88,000 for the purchase of 2light duty paratransit vans. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the bid of MIDWEST TRANSIT EQUIPMENT, INC., the lowest bidder <br /> as determined by the State of Illinois through their bidding process, be accepted and a purchase <br /> order be awarded accordingly for the purchase of two light duty paratransit vans. <br /> Section 2. That the City Manager and the City Clerk of the City of Decatur be, and they <br /> are hereby, authorized and directed to execute a purchase order between the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, and MIDWEST TRANSIT EQUIPMENT, INC., for the purchase of two light duty <br /> paratransit vans at their bid price of$89,140.00. <br /> PRESENTED AND ADOPTED this 21 st day of October, 2002. <br /> TERR EY <br /> MAYOR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> G <br /> �-; ` ���� <br /> CELESTE F.
