R2002-83 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID <br /> VULCAN SIGNS <br /> - BUS STOP SIGNS AND SIGN POSTS - <br /> WHEREAS, bids were opened on April 15th, 2002, for the purchase of 400 bus stop <br /> signs and 200 sign posts, with three bids received ranging from$5,799.20 up to $6,963.20; and <br /> WHEREAS,the lowest bidder was Vulcan Signs with a bid of $5,799.20; and <br /> WHEREAS, Vulcan Signs has been found to be a qualified and responsible firm, and <br /> competent to perform the work required. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the tabulation of the bids submitted for furnishing 400 bus stop signs and <br /> 200 sign posts be received and placed on file. <br /> Section 2. That the bid of Vulcan Signs be accepted and a purchase order be awarded <br /> accordingly. <br /> Section 3. That the City Manager and the City Clerk of the City of Decatur be, and they <br /> are hereby, authorized and directed to execute a purchase order between the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, and Vulcan Signs for the purchase of 400 bus stop signs and 200 sign posts, as specified <br /> in the solicitation for bids, at their bid price of$5,799.20. <br /> PRESENTED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May, 2002. <br /> �i <br /> M.
