R2002-81 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID <br /> BARBECK CONZMUNICATIONS <br /> - 800 MHZ TRUNKED RADIO SYSTEM - <br /> WHEREAS, bids were opened on April 22nd, 2002, for the purchase of 21 mobile radios <br /> with handsets, 2 base stations, and 8 handheld radios, including installation and removal and <br /> programming, plus optional additional radios, with two bids received; and <br /> WHEREAS, the lowest bidder was Barbeck Communications with a bid of$34,816.00; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Barbeck Communications has been found to be a qualified and responsible <br /> firm, and competent to perform the work required. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the tabulation of the bids submitted for furnishing 21 mobile radios with <br /> handsets, 2 base stations, and 8 handheld radios, including installation and removal and <br /> programming,plus optional additional radios,be received and placed on file. <br /> Section 2. That the bid of Barbeck Communications be accepted and a purchase order be <br /> awarded accordingly. <br /> Section 3. That the City Manager and the City Clerk of the City of Decatur be, and they <br /> are hereby, authorized and directed to execute a purchase order between the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, and Barbeck Communications for the purchase of 21 mobile radios with handsets, 2 base <br /> stations, and 8 handheld radios, including installation and removal and programming, as <br /> specified in the solicitation for bids, at their bid price of$34,816.00. <br /> PRESENTED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May . <br /> � �� � <br /> TERR .
