, ' <br /> RESOLUTION NO. � ���1� <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING QUIT CLAIM DEED <br /> - 1085 SOUTH MAIN STREET - <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur, Illinois, formerly owned <br /> the property located at 1085 South Main Street, in the City <br /> of Decatur, and legally described as: <br /> Lots Five (5) and Six (6) of the Subdivision of <br /> Lot Eight (8) of the Northeast Quarter of the <br /> Northeast Quarter of Section 22 , Township 16 <br /> North, Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M. , as per Plat <br /> recorded in Book 149 Page 355 of the records in the <br /> Recorder' s Office of Macon County, Illinois; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City contracted with the County of Macon <br /> in 1964 to convey said premises to the County for the sum of <br /> $70, 000 ; and, <br /> WHEREAS, a recent search of the records of the Recorder <br /> of Deeds of Macon County, as well as searches of the records <br /> of the City and the County, reveals no deed from the City to <br /> the County regarding said premises; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City acknowledges that it has no right, <br /> title or interest in said premises, and agrees with the <br /> County that the City should deliver a quit claim deed for <br /> said premises to the County for the purpose of clearing <br /> title thereto. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1 . That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they <br /> are hereby, authorized and directed to sign, seal and attest <br /> a Quit Claim Deed conveying all right, title and interest of <br /> the City in the above-described premises to the County, and <br /> the City Manager and Corporation Counsel be, and they are <br /> hereby, authorized and directed to deliver said deed to the <br /> County. <br /> PRESENTED AND ADOPTED this 18th day November, 1991 . <br /> G R K.
