Although it is not anticipated that the
manhole inspection activities will require manhole entry at each manhole, This scope assumes
"above ground" manhole inspections, though AECOM's field crews are confined space entry trained,
and can be equipped with gas detectors, harnesses, tripods, and ropes for entry. Additionally, our
vans are equipped with beacons, safety lights, cones, and reflective traffic warning devices to alert
and protect the public and the employees. Traffic control will be completed utilizing the Manual on
Uniform Traffic Control Devices, as published by the Federal Highway Administration. AECOM will
coordinate with the City when working within the City's right-of-way.
The final report will document system defects and sources of 1/I, including the results of the manhole
inspections, including observed conditions, infiltration and/or inflow sources, and prioritized
rehabilitation alternatives. Recommendations for future work, based on the results of the manhole
inspections, will be included in the final analysis.
Deliverables:
• Manhole Inspection Results(see Task 8—Report)
Task 6: DYE TESTING
Dye testing is used to determine whether a particular inlet or fixture discharges storm water into the
sanitary sewer.
