INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS <br /> The Bidder's attention is directed ta the fact that al� applicab]e state �aws, municipal <br /> ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction aver canstruction <br /> for the project sha11 apply to the Cantract throughout, and they wi11 be deemed to be included in <br /> the Contract the same as thaugh herein written out in full. <br /> No interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other pre-bid documents <br /> witl be made to any Bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing <br /> addressed to Paul Caswell, P.E., City Engineer, at # 1 Gary K. Anderson Plaza, Uecatur, Illinois <br /> 62523, and to be given consideration must be received at least five {5} days prior to the date <br /> fixed for the opening of bids. Any and all such interpretations and any supplemental instruction <br /> will be in the form af written addenda to the Contract Documents which, if issued, notification <br /> will be e-rnailed to all prospective Bidders (at the respective e-rnail addresses furnished for such <br /> purpases), not later than three (3) calendar days prior to the date fixed far the apening of bids. <br /> Failure of any Bidder to receive any such addendum or interpretation shail not relieve such <br /> Bidder from any obligation under their bid as submitted. All addenda sa issued shall became <br /> part of the Contract Docurnents, It shall be the responsibility of each Prospective Bidder to <br /> verify that each addendum has been received applicable to the project. Addenda may alsa be <br /> viewed on Decatur Blue Print's website at www.DecaturBlue.com. <br /> The City of Decatur maintains City project information on the City's web site at <br /> www.decaturil.gov/Departments/Public Works 1Contractor Praject Bid Information. It lists the <br /> current projects at the City with hid infarmation including bid opening dates and current bid <br /> holders. lt is recomrnended that all Prospective Bidders check this Information on the City's <br /> web site and at �Tww,DecaturB]ue.com for the status of the particular project they are interested <br /> in bidding prior to turning in bids. <br /> The successful Bidder, upon award of a Contract, shall cacnmence work on the date <br /> specified in the"Notice ta Proceed"and sha11 substantia�ly complete all work in accordance with <br /> the time allocated in the cantract. Should the Contractor fail to substantially camplete all wark <br /> in the allotted time period, liquidated damages shall be assessed as out�ined in the General <br /> Conditions. <br /> Attention of the bidders is directed to the arrangement and contents af the contract <br /> documents and Specifications with reference to the project. One extra bid form is included, <br /> detached from the rernainder of the contract documents. Such detached bid form may be <br /> completed and submitted as the Contractar's bid. <br /> 8 <br />
