§25.8 The Architect shall provide certificates of insurance to�he Owuer that evidence compliaace with the requirements in t2us Section 2.5. ART'ICLE 3 SGOPE OF ARCHITECT'S BASIC SERVICES §3.1 The ArclutecYs Basic Scrvices coasist of those described ia this Aiiicle 3 end include usual and customary squctural,mechanical,snd eIectrical eagineering services.Scrvices not set forth in this Article 3 are Supplemeatal or Additioaal Services. §3.1.1 The Arc6itect shall manage the Architect's serviees,research appGcabie design criteria,attend Project m�tings,communicate with members of the Pmject tea�n,and report progress ta the Ownor. §3.1.2 The Arc6itect shalt coordinste its services wiW those serviees provided by the Owner and the Ownec's consulteats.The Architect shatl be endtled to�ly on,and shall not be responsible for,the accuracy,completeness,end timeliness of,services and informgtion fiunished by the Owner and the Owner's consultaats.The Architect shall provide prompt written natice to tbe Owner if the Architect becomes aware of say error,omission,or inconsistency in such services or information. §3.'I.3 A schedule for the perFormaace of the Arclutect's sstvices is attached bereto es Exhibit A.The schedule initially shall include anticipated dates far the commeneement of coastruction and for Substaatial Completion of the Work as set forth in the Initial Informetion.The schedule inciudes allowances for periods of time rcquired for the Owner's revisw,for the perfotmance of the Owner's consuItents,and for approval of submissions by authariti� haviag jurisdiction over We Project.Time limits established by the schedule shall not,except for reasoneble csuse,be cxceeded by the Architect or Owner.With the Owner's approval,the Architect shall adjust tbe schedule,ifnecessacy, as tbe Pmject proceeds ua61 the commeneement of coastruction. §3.1.4 The Architact shall not be responsible for an Owaer's directive or substitucion,or for the Uwner's acceptancc of nan-conforming Worlc,made or given without the Architect's wtittea a{�proval. §3.1.5 The Arehitect shall contect governmental authorities required to approve the Coashuction Documents and entities ptoviding utility setviccs to the Project The Architect shall respond to applicablc design requiremonts imposed by those authorikies and entities. §3.1.6 The Architect shall assist the Owuer in cannecrion wiW the Owner's responsibility for filing dacumcnls reqnired fur the approval of governmenta!authorities having jurisdicHon over the Project� The Architect's time included in Basic Services for assisting the Owner in obtaining permits and approvals is timited to 72 man hotus. Addidonal time spent will be billed to the Owaer as an Addidonal Service. §3.2 Schemattc Destgn Phase Servtces � §3.2.11ntentionally Omitted pursuant to paragraph 1.1.12. � {Paragrapfu de%ted} §3.3 Deaign Development Phase Servft:es §3.3.1 Based on the Owncr's approval of the Schematic Design Documents,end on the Owner's authorization of any adjustmenfs in t6e Arojcct requimments and the budget for the Cost of the Work,the Architect shall prepare Design Dcvalopmcnt Documcnts for tho Uwncr's approval.Tbc Dcsign Dcvclopmcnt Documents shall iilustratc snd dcscribc the development of the approved Se6ematic Daign Documcnts and shall coasist of drawings and other documents including plans,scctions,clevations,typical consducdon dctails,and diagrammatic layauts of 6uilding systcros to fix and desen'be the size and character of the Pmject as to architcctwal,structural,mechenical and ciccfical systems,and other appropciate elements.The Dcsign DeveEopment Docurnents shall also include outline spexificstions that identify major rastecials and systems and establish,in general,their quality levels. §3.3.2 The Architect shall update the estimate oF th�Cost of ihe Work prepared in accordance with Section 6.3. §3.3.3 Thc Archiecct shall submit thc pesign Dcvclapmcnt Documcats to thc Owner,advise the Owner of any adjustments to Wc cstimatc of thc Cost of thc Work,anti rcquest thc Owncr's approvat.
