shall be provided to the City via email showing overall load, contaminants and truck number <br /> of the load within 2 hours of the occurrence. The Contractor has the option of keeping the <br /> load, if they so choose. <br /> If recyclable material is rejected at market due to contamination or not fulfilling current <br /> market specifications, the Contractor must obtain approval from the Contract Manager <br /> before disposing of the residual material in a permitted landfill. <br /> Section 11. Acquisition, Stocking and Distribution of the Recycling Carts <br /> The Contractor is responsible for acquiring, stocking and distributing the carts to the Haulers <br /> for further distribution to the individual households. <br /> 11.1 Cart specifications <br /> Contractor must use the following minimum specifications while acquiring the <br /> carts <br /> a. Size 64/65 gallon and 34/35 gallon <br /> a. Must be free of sharp edges <br /> b. Shall be stable and self-balancing when in upright position <br /> either loaded or empty. <br /> C. Handle area shall provide two comfortable gripping areas for <br /> pulling and pushing the cart <br /> d. Integrally molded pick up point on the front side of the cart <br /> that allows for semi-automated or automated lifting. <br /> b. Color: Pepsi Blue; lid may be black <br /> C. Recycled Content: As much as we can get without compromising the <br /> color <br /> d. In mold Label: Size 8" X 12" (content to be approved by City Contract <br /> Manager) <br /> e. White hot stamping on the cart <br /> a. City Logo (8" square) on the front or sides side of the cart; A <br /> minimum of 5" for the smaller carts. <br /> b. Serial Number on the front of the cart <br /> C. Arrows on the top of the cart to show which way the cart should <br /> be placed. <br /> f. Instructions on the inside of the lid that talks about maintenance of the <br /> cart do's and don'ts with the cart (content to be approved by City <br /> Contract Manager). <br /> 11.2 Cart Distribution <br /> The Contractor should work with various Haulers to distribute carts in their <br /> respective areas from the inventory purchased for the City of Decatur. <br />
